That's how you make a space western that works. | ![]() Tim MinearHe brought a DVD that had scenes some scenes from a show called "Drive" about people forced to race against each other to an unknown finish line. It lasted six weeks, but sparked an unusual argument at WorldCon. He also gave a live commentary for "Ariel", which included Fox wishing the show was more "space" than "western". Some of the props were recycled from "The Train Job", while surfboard containers became medical pods. |

It was supposed to be Flanvention II, the sequel to the best convention ever. However, thanks to last-minute financial problems from Booster Events, it looked like it was about to end. It took the generosity of Browncoats around the world, some real Big Damn Heroes, and support from some of the cast, to save the con by relocating it at the Pickwick Gardens in Burbank. It would go down in Browncoat history.
