This was a two-day event in Oakland in August 2004. I could only go to the Sunday event, but the list of guests was still pretty good.
This is Kelly Donovan, twin brother for Nicholas Brendon. Actually, he was on the show when a "twin" of Xander started taking over his life in "The Replacement", and actually was a substitute Xander in "Intervention".

Serenity Fanfest
In September 22, 2005, The Universal Citywalk was the site for the world premiere of Serenity. It was one of two I have ever attended, and the only time I got to thank Joss after the movie. I have photos of souvenirs from the event, plus a special event at Universal Studios that featured Adam Baldwin and Summer Glau.
Browncoat Ball in SF
In honor of the Firefly episode, "Shindig", where our Big Damn Heroes appeared at a very formal ball, fans organized their own version of that episode. It started in 2004, and continues to this day. San Francisco had its turn in 2006, and this is some of the sights from that bash.
Other Whedonverse Cons
Before Wizard World and Creation Cons, there was the occasional convention featuring cast members from Buffy and Angel. Here's some from San Francisco in 2004 and Sacramento in 2005, which featured James Marsters, Anthony Stewart Head and Amber Benson. Also, there was the Bronzers Reunion Party at the El Rey in Los Angeles.
